Barbara also is certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Barbara spent 15 years as a certified nursing assistant, in private homes, nursing homes and hospitals, before being employed by the State of New York Department of Developmental Disabilities. There she spent five years working closely with the most-severely disabled people in the NYS group home system, from toddlers to geriatric adults. Becoming a massage therapist was a natural next step, she feels, in the skilled care of people in need.

Barbara and her husband Stephen have been married 27 years and have raised four children, and are now grandparents to 3-year old Rory and baby Daisy.
